Architectural Design
I am Janet Tilley, a Chartered Architectural Technologist, with over twenty years experience. I always endeavour to produce a scheme that suits the clients requirements and is in keeping with the rest of the street scene.
Each building project has a professionally produced set of drawings drawn to your specific requirements one stage at a time, so you only pay for the services you actually require. See Architecture Gallery for a few examples of work.
Follow my easy steps:

STEP 1 - I will visit your home for a free consultation to discuss your ideas and assess the feasibility of the project and advise on any planning issues etc. You are under no obligation to proceed. You will then be sent a fee schedule setting out my fees and statutory requirement fees.
STEP 2 - If you are happy with the quote, sign the copy and return it to me. I will then arrange a time convenient with you to carry out a full measured survey. A plan as existing will then be produced and sent to you together with an invoice for the 1st payment.
STEP 3 - Concept Sketches will then be produced and discussed with you. Once an agreement has been reached on a scheme, a planning drawing will be produced for your final approval ready for a Planning Application to be submitted on your behalf together with an invoice for the 2nd payment.
STEP 4 - Once Planning Permission has been obtained, a full set of detailed plans will be produced ready for a Building Regulation Application to be submitted on your behalf, together with an invoice for the final payment.
Although not a legal requirement detailed drawings will ensure accurate builders quotations. I can also arrange to have Structural Engineers Calculations produced for steel beams and loft conversions.
If you decide not to commission detailed drawings then you or your builder must submit a Building Notice Application to your council at least 48 hours before any building works start.
